Fall is here, and there are many activities in the area that high schoolers are sure to enjoy, either in large groups or with just a friend. No matter what you do, make sure you check out one of these activities so you can enjoy this great season.
Navigating your way through a corn maze is a classic fall activity that people have enjoyed for years. If this is something that interests you, go to Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Dawsonville. The maze is a 12-acre field of corn with 4 miles of trails to navigate through. There is also a pumpkin patch and hayride, so there is so much to do at Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch.
Since the weather starts to cool down and the leaves begin to change colors, fall is a great time to go for a hike. Stone Mountain, which also has the Pumpkin Festival from now until October 26 on the weekends. Another great place for a hike is Amicalola Falls, which is about 45 minutes to an hour away. This area has beautiful scenery that can be enjoyed while you’re hiking, and it will even be nicer during fall when the leaves have changed colors. The Falls are a great view as well, and being able to see them is worth the hike.
Another great fall event that you can attend is a Chattahoochee football game. Hanging out with your friends and cheering on the football team is a great experience, and it is even better in the fall when the weather gets cooler and the football team starts playing its rival teams. Also, don’t forget that there are many other fall sporting events to attend, such as volleyball games, softball games, and cross country meets.
Fall is a great season no matter what your interests and hobbies are. So grab some friends and have some fun at a fall event. Don’t wait too long, because winter will be here before you know it!
